Do you ever wish there was a web-based client to manage your emails within the Perfex CRM admin area?
Fear not, we have your back! Our module allows you to enable your employees to send, receive, draft, and manage emails from their IMAP accounts directly from their dashboard.
You must have an IMAP account that can allow SSL/TLS connections from a third-party application (your Perfex installation). If you are using a two-factor authentication, you must deactivate it; otherwise, your server will not accept connections.
If you have a POP account, you will not be able to use IMAP. Ensure that your account uses the Internet Message Access Protocol (IMAP).
Within Perfex, this module was created so that users could peruse and respond to all incoming emails. Emails sent via this module will be saved in the module’s ‘Sent’ folder and sent with Perfex’s outgoing email settings.
It is crucial to note that actions such as “Star,” “Trash,” and “Important” will affect your local inbox (Perfex), and they will be preserved in the database, together with their attachments, in the appropriate folder. This is a one-way sync module that retrieves unread inbox messages; it has no affect on your Internal Mail Access Protocol (IMAP) server.
Although each staff member can change his or her own email address from within their profile, our module uses the email address linked with the staff member account to log in to the IMAP server. Furthermore, our module parses emails in plain text mode to prevent malicious code from being executed within your dashboard.
